You are required to sign in for daily admission to the large conference room.
You must turn in an evaluation sheet everyday so that we can maintain high quality instruction. We do read the evaluations very carefully.
In past years, participants have worked hard, and by the end of the course, they have been amazed at what they created.

Course Overview
Participants will learn how to integrate resources from the Internet in science instruction. We will use Netscape Communicator including Navigator as a web browser and Composer as a web authoring tool (WYSIWYG). Teachers will complete four tasks.
Using templates, participants will learn how to create and edit student WebQuests, teacher notes, and interactive quizzes using two files that incorporate javascript - blank-quiz.html and the accompanying quiz.js file. Participants will enhance WebQuests with graphics and hyperlinks to interactive activities on the web. These WebQuests will be uploaded to the Internet for use by teachers and students worldwide.

Evaluation
Regular attendance is required. A WebQuest including student instructions and teacher notes following the template guidelines must be satisfactorily completed.
All WebQuests must include the following attributes: use at least five websites, offer some interactive activities, have unique topics, teacher notes correlate to the California science standards. You must complete your daily homework assignment.

WebQuests will be evaluated for effort, creativity, innovation, and integration with the California science standards. No credit or grades will be submitted until all course requirements have been met.
